My Approach
I work with adolescents and adults navigating life transitions, stress, and obstacles to personal growth. Alongside this broader support, I provide evidence-based treatment for anxiety-related conditions, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and insomnia. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapies and integrate mindfulness-based strategies to help clients meet challenges with greater awareness, flexibility, and resilience. I also support parents and loved ones of individuals experiencing anxiety or OCD by offering evidence-based ways to respond with care and support, while reducing patterns that may unintentionally reinforce anxiety.
My style is warm and collaborative, grounded in curiosity and respect for each client’s strengths, values, and lived experience. With over 25 years of experience teaching movement-based practices and outdoor sports in rural mountain communities, I bring a whole-person perspective to therapy—offering practical strategies and a steady, supportive presence to help clients feel more grounded, connected, and confident in navigating life’s challenges. I aim to foster an inclusive and affirming environment shaped by a genuine appreciation for each person’s unique identity and background.
Education, Training, & Professional Memberships
I hold a Master of Social Work from Boston University, with a specialization in clinical mental health. My training includes advanced coursework in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); exposure and response prevention (ERP)—the gold-standard treatment for OCD; acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT); and CBT for insomnia through the University of Pennsylvania.
I am an active member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
